Dad has an appointment this morning in wheeling at 8:45 am for blood work.

Mom text at 8:56 am:

We are in the waiting room.

Mom text at 9:40 am about how Dad was doing:

A little better because he fixed his own oatmeal. Had two of those bottles left you set up but also had coffee and soup and some water

Mom text at 9:50 am:

Doctor ordered fluid as dad is still low on fluid. He can tell by looking in his mouth. Says he sees cobwebs. He said he should feel better by now. He wants him back Wednesday for fluid and then reevaluate how he is doing. If not better he may postpone the next treatment for another week. He said by now he should not be this week. Drew lab also before starting fluid. Will be here for three hours. Will let you know lab results as they give us a report.

About drinking my idea of Dad drinking seven or eight 12-ounce bottles of water/Gatorade each day, Mom texted:

Doctor said that was a great start but you can't out drink your need so drink more [due to chemo treatment]. Dad asleep at 10:00 am.

Mom 1:05 pm text:

[On] our way home. Dad walked to the car.

2:17 pm Mom text:

Home now but he is miserable because of constipation. The thought of prune juice may help that end quickly! I got his lab results and some are worse then last Monday which would be a result of the chemo he did have I presume. Others were better. Sodium the same. I don't know enough about anything to be logical. Will find out Wednesday when we see the doctor. He ate pizza down there for lunch. Let you know how he feels after he has a nap if he takes one.

Around 8pm Mom text:

Dad is now on his computer. Earlier he was freezing and said he did not feel good. He had some soup took pain pills used the afghan to get warm. Ate coffee cake.
