In the early morning, the weather in Barnesville was overcast or low cloud deck, windy, temps in the 40s.
I left Mom and Dad's house at 7:00 a.m. to take Deb to the Pittsburgh airport. She was flying to the NYC area for business.
After dropping Deb off at the airport, I drove to Wheeling. This was chemo day for Dad. Jeff drove Mom and Dad to Wheeling Hospital. Jess stayed back with the girls and Barney. MN and CP and Brad left for their homes later in the morning.
On drive to Wheeling, I stopped for fuel, and I stopped at McDonalds to use to the restroom and to buy some food.
We arrived at the Pitt airport at 8:22 a.m. It was a nice drive on Route 7 along the Ohio River from Bridgeport to approx Steubenville. Crossed the river to around Weirton. Then the drive was rural and scenic to the airport, which is located well to the northwest of Pitt. Little traffic anywhere. Smallish airport. Easy in and out.
I arrived at Wheeling Hosp at 9:40 a.m. Dad's appointment was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. He received a bag of fluids first before receiving the chemo.
The chemo part began shortly after Noon. Jeff and I ate lunch while Mom stayed with Dad who mainly slept. We ate Coleman's fish sandwiches. I added a salad and Gatorade. It has become my usual fare to buy at WH.
Mom text at 12:18 p.m. while we were at lunch:
Nurse started drug that takes two hours at 12:10
After we ate lunch and returned to the chemo room, then Mom went downstairs to eat. Dad told Jeff that the stock market was down 40 points thus far for the day. Or up. I don't remember. Jeff said that the news reported that the price of oil dropping was "weighing" on the market. Oil dropped only a smidge. Dad remains tuned into what the market does each day and throughout the day.
Dad's treatment finished around 2:30 p.m. We left the hospital at 2:45 p.m.
We were back in Barnesville by 3:40 p.m. Temp was 48 degrees with low cloudiness. Stratocumulus cloud deck.
Two Eastern Tufted Titmice sang, seemingly taking turns. One would sing, and then the other would sing. The birds were nearby.
Apparently, Barney spent most of the day sleeping on one of the beds in the basement.
Lexie and Kate were sleeping downstairs too when we arrived home.
We took Barney for a walk later in the evening. Then we watched "pioneer TV".
