Mom text:

We got home from chemo at 2:45. Was there at ten this am. Saw the doctor as dad wanted to talk to him about the severe pain he had last week.

Doctor does not want to cut back chemo but he does not want him in that much pain. He gave him a good talk about taking the pain med, when to start, and alternating the two.

If doing what he instructed does not control the pain then he said to call and come in and they would give him a shot. Said if he did not take med on schedule and waited as little as twenty minutes with pain it would be like being behind one full dose. Told him to forget about what he thought in the past about pain medicine and take the meds.

Lab was good to get the chemo, pic line dressing changed also.

Will wake him for pain med and not let him sleep.

Regarding the nose bleed which he had for nearly four hours Saturday night he said to use the nasal spray 3 times a day. If that would happen again for that long the injection dosage may need reduced.

Appointment next Monday at 9:30.

I was unaware of Dad's lengthy nose bleed over the weekend. I had not received any updates from Mom.
