Easter Sunday.

Jeff made breakfast. Pancakes were on the menu. Tasty.

It was a busy, active house. Fun.

The four little girls hunted and found their Easter baskets upstairs.

In the mid-morning, the girls gathered plastic Easter eggs that were hidden throughout the backyard. I hid a couple eggs for Barney by placing pieces of beef jerky inside the eggs. Jessica provided the beef jerky. Barney found the first one rather easily. He rolled it with his nose. He carried it in his mouth. It took a little coaching to get him into the part of the yard that contained the second egg.

Because of the two large air mattresses in the basement, those became attractants for gymnastics tumbling.

At 11:00 a.m., everyone was scattered between the upstairs and the downstairs.

Pap didn't come downstairs in the morning. He stayed upstairs, splitting time between the living room and the plant/radio area and the small bedroom where he rests.

I bought Dad a Sauder nightstand. On my last visit, I noticed that the stands next two his upstairs recliner were too small for his magazines, gadgets, food, etc. Brad assembled the stand on Sunday afternoon. It looks good and functions well, providing more table top space, along with a small drawer and shelf space below.

Brad and I flew Pap's more sophisticated radio controlled helicopter outside in the backyard and in the basement. Brad got the hang of flying it fairly well.

I heard a Chipping Sparrow sing in a nearby tree. I saw a Spring Azure butterfly.

In the afternoon, some of the group, including the four little girls, went to the Barnesville park to play.

In the afternoon, Dad repotted some indoor plants.

Later in the afternoon, I walked Barney with Jeff, Lexie, Kate, and Brad. Lexie and Kate took turns walking Barney who broke free a couple times to visit dogs that were behind fences. Barney charged the fenced in yard that contained two St. Bernards. A lot of excitement and size differences.

For dinner, we fried some leftover ham and ate cherry pie with vanilla ice cream.

In the evening we watched Andy Griffith shows over the Roku box. Dad watched too.

Near dark, Jeanine and I walked Barney. The cooler weather at dusk was easier for Barney who still had his winter coat. The mild and at times warmish temps in March were too warm for Barney. During our late evening walk, I saw bats or the same bat flying around.

Last evening and this evening, I heard the Spring Peepers singing from the pond area in the valley south of Mom and Dad's house.

I also heard a Fowler's Toad sing. I think that's what it was.

In the evening in the basement, the 4 little ones were tumbling, mainly on the basement floor. Maybe one air mattress was used. One of the air mattresses developed a slow leak from probably too much tumbling.

With one or both air mattresses propped up against the back of the pull-out couch in an A-frame shape and with some blankets on the floor within the A-frame, Barney found this and made himself a nest in what appeared to be a dog house. It was dark and somewhat safe from all the activity.
