Barney and I left for Toledo around midday or early afternoon. Deb's flight back from the northeast landed in Detroit around dinner time.

On the Tuesday after chemo, Dad usually feels good, and this morning he seemed to be doing okay. He was up and moving about.

Before leaving for Toledo, Dad gave me tomato seeds from his heirloom tomatoes. I will get these started inside the house. It's a little late, but I will eventually transplant them to containers that I can move around in the fall to gather the most sunshine. And if necessary, I can bring the containers inside on frost or freeze nights in late October or early November, which might extend the season for the plants.

Dad also gave me a sweet potato and instructions for how to get this started for transplant later.

NC will leave on Wednesday.

Late afternoon text from Mom:

Dad has continued to do well today. Hate to see this stuff wear off. Wish he could have some more of the good stuff. Like every other day!
