Left about 8:30 am to take Jeff to Caldwell exit. He's riding back to NC with coach Squibb who came up to visit his parents who live in Marietta. Jeff arrived in B'ville last Thursday.

I arrived back at house at 10:23 am.

We left B'ville around 1:40 pm for Wheeling to return the chemo pump, during Dad's 2:30 p.m. appointment.

At the clinic, Mom and Dad went back into the treatment area at approx 2:33 pm. Dad is tired today, which is probably from the chemo. He spent most of this morning resting in one of the back bedrooms. He was not as active as yesterday.

Mom text at 2:44 pm:

Dad was not done [with the chemo from the pump] so they did not take the pump off yet.

3:10 Mom text:

The nurse decided to give him a bag of fluid since he feels so weak and it helped the other day. Has a heated blanket on him now. Won't order any thing to eat. If you want to go get a sandwich you have time.

3:17 pm Mom text :

Giving a liter of fluid to dad to help him feel better. Relaxing with a warm blanket on him.

At 4:44 pm, we were still at the clinic. I'm now back in the treatment area with Mom and Dad. This late in the afternoon, hardly any patients are present, which means more chairs are available for family.

The nurse decided to administer a bag of fluids to Dad because Dad was weak and tired today. It takes a while for this to complete. We might be here for another 20 minutes or so. Actually, I think that he is done receiving fluids. We'll probably leave soon.

We left the hospital at 4:58 pm, and we arrived back at the house at 4:34 pm.

Dad has lower back pain this evening from sitting in a chair at the clinic today.

Dad took pain reliever med this evening to help ease the back pain. The pain subsided some. Dad couldn't get comfortable on any furniture. He got up often to walk around. The pain started this morning and it got worse this afternoon. He ate only a small amount of food today. Not enough though. He will need to drink more Boosts. He didn't drink enough fluids at home, but he did receive about a liter of fluids at the clinic this afternoon.
