5:43 pm

Dad looks good. Occasionally, he has a little pain. When I arrived, he was sitting up in bed, watching the business channel on cable TV. Now we are watching Andy Griffith.

Mom is ordering baked fish for Dad's dinner. He ate fish for lunch, and I guess that it's pretty good.

He's in CCU. Now I can see the type of environment that Catherine works in.

Early evening

Mom is doing great. She's helping Dad, of course, and directing traffic with the nursing staff. Mom stayed in the room last night. She may stay in the room tonight. The room contains a large recliner chair.

I forgot to bring my Hester afghan from Toledo, but I grabbed a Hester afghan from Mom and Dad's house before heading to the hospital.

Dad is still in a single room. No other patient. It's a large room. He may be moved to another room tonight.

He sat upright on the edge of the bed for a while, and now he laid back down. He got tired.

He is wearing red socks, which means no walking around. Mom and I will head to the cafeteria for some grub.

I brought a portable DVD player and some fishing videos in case Dad wants something different to watch.

Nice outside down this way. Temps were in the low 60s late this afternoon. Dad is sitting up, eating a tasty-looking dinner. Mom and I will go eat now.
